Since our last installment of Featured Fitness Content, we found out that my wife is pregnant and that we’ll have a little baby Matulevich in spring ’24. Don’t worry, I’ve been prepping my pool’s record board for some new records in 13-16 years. But outside of that, we’re still chipping away at a new expansion, with all of the headaches, heart aches, and near heart attacks requisite for such a project to crawl its way to completion.
To keep things short, I’m going to start off the new year with some posts that piqued my interest in the seemingly distant past of late 2023.

Recovery Strategies Post-Ruck or Packout
This was a fun one… In late September I participated in the annual 28-Mile March for the Fallen at Fort Indiantown Gap. After the event I was pretty cooked. But I managed to make it back in the gym to continue my training just two days later. The recovery from this event could’ve taken a considerably longer, were it not for the fact that I took my recovery seriously as I continue to piece together a comprehensive recovery strategy from extreme physical events.
I’m excited to have published on Kifaru, as they are makers of 100% American-Made backpacks. In fact, this morning, I was already on their site looking at buying a few accessories for my Striker XL bag.
